About Us
Hi, I'm Simon, the Founder of Ocean Able.
I've been a surfer and waterman for over 35 years, and the ocean has always been my second home. A few years ago, I experienced a spinal injury that took me out of the water and into a long rehab journey.
It wasn't easy, but through determination and learning, I managed to get back on my board. That experience taught me so much about resilience, recovery, and the power of the ocean.
Now, I use what I've learned to help others. I've designed specialised surfboards and SUPs for people recovering from injuries, ensuring they have the right equipment to get back in the water safely.
Currently, I work with clients who have acquired brain injuries, and I've found that my approach has been very successful.
I also coach clients to improve their paddling with a new technique I've developed. This method uses less energy and helps them catch more waves, because as I say, "catch more waves, have more fun!".
Trust is essential when you're working on recovery, and I bring a personal understanding of what it takes to get back on the board. Whether you're looking to ride the waves again or simply improve your paddling, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
